We welcome volunteers and woofers who wish to help us while having a unique experience in a lovely and peaceful natural environment.
“Our stay with Alain and Fon was so nice. For now the better workaway experience we had form far ! Alain is passionate by eco building, he is a great teacher, patient, sharing tips and experiences. We felt lucky to be there to learn about Adobe bricks … Alain was also really carring, about the food quality (full of tastes and energy breakfast, Thaï food for lunch and dinner), or the quality of our resting time.
The time spending with Fon was full of colors and discoveries : Thai cuisine and drinks (she is such a good cook), her passion for painting, the sweets she bring from the market for us. We could feel that Alain and Fon tried as much as possible to make our stay pleasant.
We are sure that the training center will welcome nice projects and participate to a better world. We wish you the best for your projects ! Thanks again” – Yohann and Cécile (France)
“I spent one week with Alain and Fon. I really enjoyed these days. I’ve learned about construction with bamboo and adobe, cultural exchange, cooking with Fon (delicious) 😉 . Alain is really open to share all his knowledge. The place is very peacefull and simple, and they take care of volunteers! I really recommend this beautiful place!!” – Cristina (Spain)
About the work
In order to volunteer with us, it is necessary for you to be interested in our activities (construction, organic gardening…), and even better if you have some prior experience. It is also very important for you to be physically fit.
Help needed between September 2020 and March 2021 !! Please contact us to know the detailed work planned for each month.
We accept volunteers for 10 to 15 days, and we ask that volunteers work 6 hours per day and if possible, sometimes to help the project members with cooking.
How to apply?
Usually, we accept only volunteers who are Workaway members. However, contact us if you have special skills or significant professional experience in: carpentry, woodworking, organic gardening, permaculture design, construction, interior design and decoration.
Contribution: We provide volunteers with food and accommodation for free.
We will provide simple accommodation in a dormitory or – if you prefer to have some privacy – in a tent. A mattress, blanket, pillow and a mosquito net will be provided. There is also a ‘relaxing area’ in the shade with hammocks !!
Wifi and 220 V electricity are available.
Meals will be mostly vegetarian with some meat and fish options.
We will send you instructions to get to our centre from Chiang Rai city by taxi (cost: about 400 baht). Otherwise – if we are available – we can pick up volunteers at Chiang Rai for a fee (300 bahts). More information here about how to get to Chiang Rai.
